Double Trouble as Birmingham Panthers NPL get a dual win over the weekend
04 March 26
The U19s and U17s Panthers were impressive over the weekend as they stole wins from Team Bath.
The Under-17s had a destructive first quarter going up 21-5. Their defensive prowess allowed ball to be turned over and transitioned beautifully, whilst attack found their groove quickly, seamlessly delivering the ball into the shooters. With calm control from both circle shooters, the U17’s were able to capitalise and win the game 60-38, cementing their dominance on the league table.
Whilst the Under-17s were putting in the work, the Under-19s were settling into their game with another dominating first quarter score of 17-9 against Team Bath. Their formidable attack and shooting circle had the team ticking over the scoreboard nicely. The pressure from defence held Team Bath out of contention, with Birmingham Panthers leading for the rest of the game. The Under-19s won convincingly (73-41), putting their foot down and staking claim as a team to be reckoned with.
You can catch both the Under-17s and Under-19s in a few weeks at home (Walsall) as they take on Nottingham Forrest on the 21st of March.
