Birmingham Panthers NXT Gen Secure Another Promising Win
21 April 26
The Birmingham Panthers NXT Gen side travelled to the House of Sport on Saturday to face LexisNexis Dragons, returning from a bye week refreshed and refocused. With time to reflect on recent performances, the team came into the match determined to continue their push for success.
A slow start saw the Birmingham Panthers trail 13-17 at the end of the first quarter, but they quickly regrouped and lifted their intensity in the second. By half-time, the Birmingham Panthers had turned the game around to lead 33-29, setting the tone for a dominant second half.
The Birmingham Panthers maintained control throughout the final two quarters, applying consistent pressure to pull away and secure an impressive 65-43 victory.
Tabi Grime delivered a standout performance in the midcourt, earning Opposition Player of the Match, Coaches’ Player of the Match, and Players’ Player of the Match after a dominant display.
With just four games remaining in the 2026 season, the NXT Gen side has positioned itself strongly for a successful finish. The team returns home this Saturday, 18 April, at 12:30pm to take on Nottingham Forest, an exciting opportunity to build further momentum in front of a home crowd.
