The 2025 season was one full of fight, flair, and fierce competition for the Birmingham Panthers. From high-flying Super Shots to rock-solid defensive gains, fans had plenty to cheer about. Here’s a look back at the standout performances, star players, and stat-tastic highlights that defined the season.

Sharpshooters Light It Up

The Birmingham Panthers’ frontline brought firepower all year, led by the ever-reliable Betsy Creak, who scored an impressive 64 Super Shots from 101 attempts. With a 63% success rate, she was the team’s go-to when the pressure was on. Not far behind, Gabby Sinclair dazzled with 57 Super Shots at a 73% clip, the highest conversion rate among high-volume shooters.  Sigi Burger stood out with her 93% accuracy from one-point range, making her a calm and clinical presence under the post.

Defensive Wall Holding Strong

At the other end of the court, Jasmine Brown was an absolute standout. She racked up 75 defensive gains, 48 deflections, and 20 interceptions – a clear signal to attackers that her circle was no easy target. Right beside her, Gabby Coffey put in a commanding season with 48 gains, 34 deflections, and 13 interceptions, making the defensive duo one to fear in the league.

Feeding the Fire

The Birmingham Panthers’ attacking engine purred thanks to some top-tier feeding. Jessica Shaw, the heartbeat of the attack, led the team with a whopping 442 feeds. Her vision and timing kept defenders guessing and shooters well-supplied. Honourable mention goes to Michelle Magee, whose contributions from the defensive third included 4 crucial feeds – showing her versatility and smarts in transition play.

Top Team Moments

Round 1 saw the best Centre Pass to Goal conversion rate of the season at 76.7% against the Rhinos, showing the Birmingham Panthers came out of the gates flying. They also delivered a phenomenal 94% turnover to goal rate in Round 9 versus the Dragons – proving they know how to punish mistakes.

As a team, the Birmingham Panthers averaged a 68% CP to Goal conversion and a 75% CP to Shot conversion over the season, along with 66% Turnover to Goal and 75% Turnover to Shot efficiency. These stats show consistent progress and sharp execution across both attacking and defensive phases.
